The Audition Process

There are many challenges that an actor faces in this business, but the audition process is most important because it can make or break you. First off, an actor should be fully prepared memorizing either given sides or genre monologues. It is really helpful to try your best and understand the character that you are auditioning for before you actually audition. If you can have a family member or friend go over lines with you, that would be beneficial! Good Luck!

Working in the Entertainment Business

Hey everyone, so all of you who are working actors / models know difficult it is to get jobs, there are a bunch of free websites that post open casting calls. Here are a few:

http://www.maintainfame.com/
http://www.freecastingcall.com/
http://www.actingbiz.com/
http://www.modelmayhem.com/

Some other sites I would recommend is Actors Access and Casting Networks, even though you pay a monthly fee, it is worth it! I find alot of gigs on both sites and I am still continuing to build my resume.

Being a working entertainer in this business is difficult at times, but it keeps me motivated to succeed!. The reason why I started this blog is to help entertainers find work, build a resume, network and find an agency.
